Christmas Cards

Christmas cards are done and sent out! I love the shape. I tucked the Christmas letter inside. Once I figured out what I was going to do they were pretty simple even though I have almost convinced myself that next year I will just make a digital one!

Holiday Crafting

So, we finally got around to having a craft day and here are the 2 things I got done and I still have several more things I would like to do so stay tuned. My blocks...I actually had the stickers with the letters that I have had for a couple of years. I had bought them because they were on clearance and I knew I loved them and that they would come in handy sometime! They were the perfect shape and size for the blocks! I love the colors.

Here is the advent calendar I did. It was from Target and I covered it with mostly things from Making Memories FaLaLaLa line of products. I have been wanting an advent calendar for the kids for a while now and I am excited about it. Now what to put in it?

Last Card Club

Last week was my last card club. I had to quit for several reasons #1- I have cards to last for a long time and #2 I use all of my crafting time, $, and energy on cards and I really want to spend it on my actual scrapbooking so good-bye card club hello scrapbooking. The assignment was 2 Christmas gift tags. Here is one of my tags and the other one was a little gift bag but I have no picture of that one. Here are the rest of the tags.

There is some serious talent in the group!

I Need Your Ideas

There is a possibility that I am going to be putting together a table selling crafts in about a month. I have some ideas, but if you have any great ones let me know please! I will be in crafting heaven or the opposite here for a while :-)!

October Card Club

This months cards were Thank You/Fall/Halloween.
Kind of whatever you want. I stuck with the Thank You. Here are the other goodies from this month!
I've got lots of Halloween/Fall cards and I am not sure what to do with them so do not be surprised if you get one in the mail from me just for the heck of it!

Feeling the Urge

I am really wanting to "craft", but just can't bring myself to do it! So I imagine sometime next week I will break it all out again. Still working on (warming Scott up to the idea) getting my crafting stuff into the office so that I can craft while the kids play or watch TV.

September Card Club

Here is the card I ended up with for card club. The new thing I did was the flocking. I stamped with glue and then put the flocking on, like you would glitter, but I was just not sure how it would work out. I had grand ideas of adding some sewing and buttons and other things, but I ran out of time and decided that the men would not appreciate it anyways. The theme was masculine cards. We always tend to make girly ones (they are funner) so we decided we needed some for the men in our lives. Here are some of the others.

Tick Tock Tick Tock

Time is ticking away and I am totally stumped. It is 1:30 and card club is at 7:00pm. The kids will be home at about 3:00 and I have nothing for my card. I actually have a layout and know what I want to do, but I do not have enough paper to do it(trying to use my reserves and not buy more) so I am going to have to make the same card but some with different papers. It's not the end of the world, but it is keeping me from actually doing it besides the fact that Claire is asleep in the room with all of my other paper which I want to go look through for any other possibilities. I am also trying a new technique so it's just plain and simple, I am procrastinating!!! I'll post all of the great cards later...I know you can't wait.

Hooded Towels

If you are expecting a baby girl gift from me in the near future this is most likely what you are getting. I got one of these at a shower for Macey and to be honest, I was not too excited about it, but came to love it and Tate is still using it (I made one for Claire). I have made these several times and they are pretty simple and easy to make, but this time my sewing machine was just giving me tons of trouble. It is just a hand towel cut in half and a regular size bath towel. Sorry to say that I did not sew the ribbons on the hand towels I actually found them at Target and could not resist, but I will probably try that next time I have to make them. I usually do sew a ribbon across the thick banding anyways, but I think it is cute with several different ribbons. I was not sure how to get the best picture, but here you go.

Aren't these towels so cute! (if I do say so myself)

August Card Club

This month we had to bring 2 gift tags instead of cards. Here are the ones I brought. Nothing to exciting. In the first picture some people got one and some got the other. I used what I had on hand ao of course I never have 12 of anything. These are coasters that I punched hole in and added flowers and tabs. I decided to leave them blank so they could be for any occasion.

Tate's Pages

I finished the pages of Tate's book. They were simple and quick 8x8 pages, but they are done.

Bow Crazy

I was getting sick of not having bows to match Claire's outfits and dresses so, dispite all failed attempts in the past I made some bows for her. I went to the ribbon store (which is only doable kid-free) and matched all of the outfits with the ribbon. I have taken the bow making class from the ribbon store in the past, but could never really do it and friends have tried to teach me with no success. For some reason this time I could do it. I followed some instructions I found online that had step by step pictures and instructions and wala! I will post the blog link on the side of this blog because I am sure I will need to refer to it in the future.
